Training

  1. Complete Theory (classroom and/or online) for your Class A or B license and any endorsements that are required. (call or text 719-931-2145 to notify the office of completion)
  2. Obtain a CDL physical
  3. Take written test for your permit and any endorsements you are wanting at your local DMV
  4. Find Drivers License locations here: https://dmv.colorado.gov/driver-license-office-locations
  5. Call SETran 719-931-2145 to setup a time for your Behind-The-Wheel Training with one of our Certified Trainers - Please note we assess a "No Show" fee that is paid upfront. The fee is refunded when you have satisfactorily attended your BTW training. You must give 48 hour notice prior if you will not be able to keep your scheduled BTW training appointment. If you are a "No Show" you forfeit the fee to the trainer. Upon rescheduling a student classified as a No Show, you will be required to pay the $50 No Show fee to reschedule another time. After 3 reschedules, you will be required to pay the full BTW fee again.

    - Come prepared with: your CDL permit and medical card
  6. Take CDL Skills Test with a Certified State Tester (in the state you are wanting a license in)
  7. Go to your local DMV to obtain your official license
    REQUIREMENTS FOR OBTAINING A CDL
  • Must be 18 years old
  • Must have a valid Driver's License in good standing
  • Must have a valid DOT physical
  • Must be legally able to be employed in the United States
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English per FMCSR 391.11 (b)(2)
  • Must have reliable contact information (i.e. phone number and/or email)
